About Me

Hello, I’m Marissa and thanks for stopping by Stitch Meadow & for your interest in the slow fashion and accessory community. I am blessed to call the beautiful Grampians region in western Victoria home. Since childhood, I have had a passion for many types of hand crafts, with sustainability and natural fibres being two very important aspects as I got older. When I'm not occupied with creating hand embroidery pieces, sewing for my wardrobe, knitting or spending time with my family on our property, you’ll likely find me enjoying a good book.

Every unique piece that you find at Stitch Meadow will be embroidered with care and attention to detail, with cohesive colour palettes thoughtfully considered.

I believe beautiful hand embroidery deserves to be appreciated EVERY DAY and intertwined with practical useable items instead of sitting on a shelf somewhere.

I hope that each of these heirloom style pieces will be loved and appreciated for many years, however my commitment to only using natural fibres means that at the end of the item's life it can be conscientiously disposed of knowing that the fibres can break down naturally.
